Work gives meaning to everyone's life, but especially
to the lives of the people we serve. Every year we offer both in-house
and on-site work opportunities and training to more than 200 people. Some
people carry out sub-contract work in our modern facility where they receive
job-specific training and the chance to develop skills that are transferrable
to the wider community. Some make up the community work teams that travel
to area businesses, work alongside non-disabled employees, and develop
independent work skills with the help of CMARC staff members. Finally,
for the people who are ready to work more independently, we offer extensive
training and support to help them develop the skills they need to secure
and maintain competitive community-based employment.
